Hormel Foods is a world wide known company that has its roots in our hometown of Austin, Minnesota. It was established in 1981 as Geo. A. Hormel & Company by George Hormel. Since its creation Hormel has developed into a staple food industry company. Hormel is most well known for "SPAM" but also carries a range of products from microwavable entrees to frozen processed foods. The Hormel company is a major reason our city of Austin is alive and successful today. With its major plant in our city limits it offers numerous jobs to the citizens of our town.
