During election time political ads for certain representatives or certain parties are non-stop. They appear in magazines,
on the radio, on TV, and in newspapers. There is a number of advertising techniques to get a person's point across. There
are attack ads, bumper stickers, direct marketing, canvassing, and probably the most popular, lawn signs. All these are ways
to make a person look better or more popular then their opponent. Another way people are influenced on what they
think of certain issues or politicians is political cartoons. These cartoons appear in newspapers and magazines everyday throughout
the entire country.

Politics in the film industry is becoming more and more popular everyday. We are seeing more issues presented and more
movies centered on political issues. Movies like Thirteen Days and Enemy of the State are perfect examples
of how our government has handled certain situations and how politics has played a role in decision making. A much more popular
way of getting issues out to people in the country is through literature. Thousands of articles are written in newspapers,
magazines, and on websites everyday. People count on these articles to stay involved and updated in what's going
on in our country and its politics.

Everyday when people turn on the news the topics are all about the government and politics. The news is one of the main
sources of information today and is watched everynight by millions of viewers. It allows people to see what issues are facing
our government and its leaders and what is being done to stop crime, homelessness, and other topics. Networks like CNN and C-SPAN are examples of news stations that go deep into politics and current issues. Around election times people like
to see what certian candidates think about certain issues. One way this is done is through debates. People then get a chance
to see what a candidate thinks and how they react to important topics facing our country. It is a good way for politicians
to get votes and influence voters.
